Georgetown is a town located in the town of Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada and which is part of the Regional Municipality of Halton. Georgetown is located in the Greater Toronto Area about sixty kilometers west of Toronto. The Credit River runs thourgh the town. George Kennedy settled the area in 1821 and that is who Georgetown is named after.
